Real in-browser result · drag to compare

ClearPix is a free in-browser AI toolkit: it removes watermarks from images and videos, erases burned-in subtitles, and upscales photos and short clips up to 4×. All processing runs locally on your device via ONNX Runtime Web (WebGPU or WASM) — files are never uploaded, no account is needed, and exports carry no watermark.

Local First by design: your files are processed on your device, never uploaded. Here’s why that matters.

Three steps from drop to download.

No upload step, no queue. The model runs on your GPU.

  1. Drop in your image

Drag, click to browse, or paste with ⌘V. The file is only read locally — it is never sent to a server.

  2. AI runs on your device

MI-GAN and Real-ESRGAN execute via ONNX Runtime Web, preferring WebGPU acceleration. Models are 29–67 MB and work offline after first load.

  3. Compare and download

Drag the slider to compare pixel by pixel, then export as PNG, JPG or WebP — quality and size under your control.

Your files stay on your device.

No upload queue, no cloud processing, no "free trial then pay". Turn off your network and ClearPix keeps working — that is privacy by design, not by promise.

Detection model: readyOffline capable

What cloud tools can’t do, local can.

Privacy is architecture, not a policy

There is no "upload" step in the pipeline at all. Open your dev tools and watch: the network panel stays silent while you process.

No queues, no credits

Compute happens on your GPU, not a shared server. Free is not a marketing tactic — there is simply no server bill to pass on.

Works offline after first load

Once the models are cached, keep working on a plane or on the subway. A webpage that behaves like an installed tool.

Questions you might have.

Is ClearPix really free?
Yes. Because all processing runs in your browser instead of on paid servers, there is no per-image cost to cover. No credits, no subscriptions, no export watermark.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Your file is read by your browser and never leaves your device. The AI model itself is downloaded once and cached locally — after that, the tools even work offline.
Why is the first run slow?
The first time you use a tool, your browser downloads the AI model (29–67 MB) and caches it on your device. Every run after that starts instantly.
Is it legal to remove a watermark?
It depends on your rights to the content. Removing watermarks from your own photos or properly licensed material is generally fine. Removing someone else’s watermark to redistribute their work is not. Only process content you own or have permission to modify.
Which browsers are supported?
Any modern browser. Chrome and Edge get the fastest path with WebGPU acceleration; Safari 16.4+ and Firefox run on the WASM fallback — slower, but fully functional. The video tools additionally need WebCodecs support (Chrome, Edge, Safari).
Can I use it commercially?
Yes. The cleaned and upscaled output is yours to use, and the AI models are open-weights with permissive licenses — per-model terms are listed on /licenses. Keep in mind that removing a watermark does not grant you rights to the underlying content.
