Reverse alpha blending · no AI needed
Remove Gemini watermark
ClearPix removes the Gemini (Nano Banana) ✦ watermark by reversing its alpha blending: the mark is applied with a fixed, known alpha map, so the original pixels can be recovered mathematically — no AI model, no upload, milliseconds per image. It is free and unlimited, runs 100% in your browser, and exports a clean PNG. Note that Google’s invisible SynthID marker may still remain.
The ✦ mark Gemini stamps in the bottom-right corner is blended with a fixed alpha map — so it can be reversed mathematically, pixel by pixel. No model download, milliseconds per image, and your photo never leaves the device.

How it works
- 01
Drop your Gemini image
Drag, click to browse, or paste — the file is only read locally, never sent anywhere.
- 02
Reversed automatically
The known alpha map of the ✦ mark is inverted pixel by pixel. No button to press, no model to download — it takes milliseconds.
- 03
Compare and download
Drag the slider to inspect the corner, then download the result as a PNG with no recompression.
Reverse alpha blending, explained
Most watermark removers reach for inpainting AI because they cannot know what lies under the mark. The Gemini ✦ is different: Google overlays it with a fixed recipe — a 48×48 or 96×96 star at a fixed margin from the bottom-right corner, blended with a known per-pixel alpha. ClearPix ships that alpha map (10 KB), inverts the blend equation per pixel, and hands you back the exact original. No neural network, no GPU warmup, no quality lottery — just arithmetic, in milliseconds, on your own device.
Good to know
- Best results come from un-recompressed files — download the image from Gemini and clean it before sharing it through apps that recompress.
- The tool only touches the fixed corner region; everything else in your image stays bit-identical.
- Not a Gemini image? The consistency check will warn you, and the general watermark remover is one click away.
- Cleaning also strips EXIF metadata as a side effect of canvas processing — a small privacy bonus.
Gemini watermark removal FAQ
How does the Gemini watermark remover work?
Gemini stamps its ✦ mark with a deterministic alpha blend: watermarked = original × (1−α) + 255 × α, using a fixed position and alpha map that only depends on the image size. Because the recipe is known, we invert it — original = (watermarked − 255α) / (1−α) — pixel by pixel. This is reverse alpha blending: exact arithmetic, not a guess.
Why is no AI model needed? Is it really pixel-perfect?
Inpainting AI is for unknown watermarks — it hallucinates what might be underneath. The Gemini mark is fully deterministic, so there is nothing to guess: the original pixel values are recovered by arithmetic. On PNG sources the result is bit-exact; on JPEG sources it is accurate to within JPEG quantization noise, with no generative artifacts ever.
Does this also remove Google’s SynthID?
No — and we want to be upfront about that. SynthID is an invisible watermark embedded in the pixel statistics of the whole image; this tool only removes the visible ✦ overlay in the corner. Google’s SynthID detector may still identify the image as AI-generated after cleaning. If you need the image to not read as AI output, removing the visible mark is not enough.
Will I see any leftover traces on JPEG images?
Possibly a very faint one. JPEG recompresses pixels in 8×8 blocks, so the exact blend values are slightly perturbed and the reversal can leave a barely visible outline in flat areas — typically indistinguishable unless you zoom to 400%. On PNG screenshots or exports straight from Gemini, the removal is exact.
Is it legal to remove a Gemini watermark?
That depends on your jurisdiction and use. The visible mark and SynthID exist to disclose AI-generated content. Cleaning your own images for personal use is generally fine; presenting cleaned AI output as human-made, or removing provenance signals where disclosure is required, may violate platform rules or law. Only process images you own or have permission to modify.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser: the file is read locally, the alpha maps (about 10 KB) load once from this site, and the reversal is plain arithmetic on pixels. Watch the network panel — nothing is sent. It also works offline once the page and assets are cached.
Only process images you own or have explicit permission to modify. Removing a visible watermark does not change the copyright or provenance status of the underlying content, and Google’s invisible SynthID marker may still be detectable.
